Moroccan Spiced Mint Julep


Quench your thirst and elevate your taste buds with our Moroccan Spiced Mint Julep. This refreshing cocktail combines the classic mint julep with a touch of exotic spice, creating a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

 

Ingredients:

Spiced Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3  whole cloves
  • 1/2 cup crystallized ginger chips

 

Moroccan Mint Iced Tea

 

Moroccan Spiced Mint Tea Juleps Cocktail (makes 1)

  • 4 parts iced mint tea
  • 2 parts bourbon
  • 1 part spiced simple syrup
  • 3–5 leaves fresh mint (additional for garnish, if desired)
  • Ice

 

Directions:

Prepare Moroccan Spiced Simple Syrup

  1. In a small saucepan, combine all simple syrup ingredients and bring to a simmer on low heat. Continue to simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Let syrup cool. 
  2. Pour syrup through a fine mesh strainer and into an airtight container; discard solids. Syrup can be refrigerated for up to 1 month. Makes about 10 ounces of simple syrup.

Moroccan Mint Iced Tea

  1. Boil 16 ounces of water in a tea kettle. Remove from heat and steep 2 teaspoons of Spicy Caribbee Moroccan Mint Tea for 2-3 minutes. Afterwards, strain.
  2. Fill a 32 ounce pitcher with ice. Pour hot tea over ice and chill in refrigerator. 

Moroccan Spiced Mint Tea Juleps Cocktail (makes 2)

  1. Place mint leaves in the bottom of an 8 ounce glass. Using a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon press the mint leaves into the bottom of the glass. 
  2. Add simple syrup, bourbon, and tea. 
  3. Top with ice and optional mint garnish.
